Meaghan is a mom of two beautiful girls and has been a fixture of the Saint John City Market for many years so say hi to her at the Wild Carrot when you’re in.

is excited to be hosting our next Mommy and Baby Gear Sale
Saturday, October 19th 11:00-3:00
This baby is growing by leaps and bounds every time we hold the event! I get asked throughout the year when the next one will be and within minutes of a cryptic post with just a date people were messaging me to book their tables! As we grow, we adapt and change our style, much as we did from parenting newborns to the unique challenges of ‘precocious’ three year old parenting. This fall’s event will be held at the Exhibition grounds (where Rhoda’s Flea Market usually resides) so there will be more room for people, all the gear, and all the strollers that come along with any event called “Mommy and Baby…” This will be a bit of a change from when we started in my living room!
Once again, there will be a $2 entry fee to help cover the location as well as a table fee of $12. Anything above and beyond the location fee will be donated to First Steps Housing Project Inc. Apple of Your Eye Doula Services hosts this event as a fun way to build and support mommy and baby community in the greater Saint John area. Dig out all that unused baby gear you’ve got taking up space, or make your list of what you’re still looking for, bring a snack to share and meet some other moms in the Saint John area. Feel free to invite friends to this group(http://www.facebook.com/groups/411539645561928/) and specifically to this upcoming event(https://www.facebook.com/events/397006853733490/).
Maternity goodies, baby items up to three years old, toys, clothes, carriers, breast pumps, pillows, whatever you got, someone else may want, it’s a great way to clear out all of this stuff. If you’re expecting, rest assured you are very welcome, it is always informative and fun, chatting, sharing stories and making deals. We love happy hookups!
We’ll be welcoming some local Mompreneurs and businesses to have some of their wares here as well, so if you fall into this category, again, get in touch with me as soon as possible to book a table at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are willing and able to offer your services to volunteer help at the event I REALLY want to hear from you, too!
How’s this all going to work? Table holders will have access to the space to load in and set up at 10am and the event itself will open at 11. 3pm is closing time. Let us know on your way out how much you’ve enjoyed the event, so we know you’ll be back
if when we throw another one together in the spring!
What do you need to bring aside from all the pregnancy, breastfeeding and baby stuff you no longer need? It’s a potluck snack event so bring something to share, we’re thinking right from your table, but may work out a more central snack/chat/breastfeed spot. You’ll undoubtedly pick up a few things for yourself or your babe so bring reusable shopping bags to conveniently take your haul home with you. Cash in small and varied denominations would be very helpful for all your haggling needs. Babies are welcome to join you, but must remain under your supervision as there will be a lot to tantalize curious little ones.
Potluck snacking, bargains and casual fun, build your mom community, we’d love to meet you!
